Container Explosion Panels Australia

Filquip Australia is a proud supplier of Explosion Panels for installation in external walls of containers, electrical switch rooms, fuel cell systems and in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) to relieve over-pressure caused by explosions due to arc flash.

These safety elements are certified and tested to open at the required pressure. They are generally installed on the roof of BESS containers to safely direct the explosion upwards and thus protect property and people.

Dense Phase Conveying System for return of Baghouse Dust

Filquip was engaged by a customer to assist with the Design, Supply and Commissioning of a Dense Phase Conveying System to return the dust extracted from a build materials bag filling plant to the product storage silos, saving raw materials costs.

The baghouse unit onsite had a tendency to compact the collected dust into lumps and as such a DLP lump Breaker was included into the supply along with a new Rotary Valve airlock.

The design also included the ability to divert the dust collected into either the Dense Phase Conveyor to return it to the plant raw product storage or the collect it into bulk bags for sales. A Hardox Diverter Valve with Pneumatic actuation was supplied by Filquip to achieve this.

The Filquip equipment supplied included:

  • BARTONE 50 Dense Phase System, 50m Conveying Distance 2m3/hr throughput
  • DLP.035 Lump Breaker, with 3kw Motor
  • Hardox 250mm Diverter Valve, with 24vdc Pneumatic Actuator
  • RV10 Rotary Valve with 1.1kw Motor and Gearbox Combo
  • 350mm Size Pneumatically Actuated Slide Gate Valve.

 

Alumina Tri-Hydrate Bulk Bag Decanter with Weighing System

Filquip has designed and supplied a new Alumina Tri-Hydrate Bulk Bag Decanter with weighing system to automate the bulk bag unloading process for a customer so the correct weight of product is decanted from the screw conveyor on the bulk bag decanter into a mixing tank.

When required, the plant PLC specifes the weight of alumina needed in the mixing tank. The load cells on the system provide loss in weight feedback to help control the screw conveyor which meters out the Alumina from the bulk bag until the correct weight has been decanted into the tank.

The following Filquip equipment package was provided for this system:

  • SBB-HFF-M Bulk Bag Decanter with Monorail and 2T Electrical Crane Hoist
  • Bulk Bag Massaging System for improved product flow out of each bulk bag
  • Manual Isolation Slide Gate Valve between the bulk bag unloader and the Screw Conveyor
  • TX SS304 Screw Conveyor, 150mm Diameter, 3700mm long with 250mm flared and extended inlet cone
  • Support Skid Frame in SS304 PFC with integrated Load Cells, Summing Box and Weight Indicator
  • Integrated Control Panel with Local and Remote Operation modes

Sepcom Pig – Pig effluent separator

The SEPPIG unit turns pig effluent into a solids odourless organic fertiliser / soil conditioner. While the liquid phase turns into an enriched liquid fertiliser, which can also be used for recirculation in Biogas facilities.

Filquip is now suppling the WAM MBH Screw Feeder for Micro Additives Dosing.

The MBH screw feeders provide accurate volumetric feeding of powder and granular materials with an entire body manufactured from Stainless Steel 316 for an internal finish that is smooth and hygienic. The MBH Feeders have FDA and ES 1935/2004 food use approval.

The MBH Microbatch Screw Feeder for continuous volumetric feeding of powdery or granular materials consists a horizontally mounted rotating agitator tool, a feeder screw, a feeder pipe enclosing the protruding feeder screw. The MBH Series uses one motor and lubrication free gearbox to drive both the agitator and feed screw.

  • Stainless steel 316 body, Agitator tool and Feeder screw (multiple feed screw types included as standard).
  • Various agitator tool and feeder screw attachments to achieved desired flow rates.
  • Available in Hazardous Zone Rated versions.
  • Multiple standard body sizes with throughputs of up to 6m³ / hr.
  • Integration with a loss in weight system or VSD can provide automated accurate micro dosing of ingredients and chemicals.

Belt Conveyor Transfer Point Dust Extraction System

Filquip was engaged by an engineering contractor to specify and supply a dust extractor for a belt transfer point at a quarry following a Barmac crusher. The transfer point between the belt conveyors generated dust clouds after the rocks had been crushed by the Barmac unit releasing dust.

Filquip specified and supplied a FPHT.R.24 Filter Bag Dust Extractor with 4kw Fan Motor which was mounted on the belt transfer point to extract the dust generated and agglomerate it to larger/heavier particle sizes and return it to the belt. The covering of the belt conveyor back to the Barmac Crusher creates a suction funnel to draw dust down through the crusher and into the Dust Extractor.

Belt Conveyor Dust Extraction System

Filquip was engaged by an engineering contractor to specify and supply a dust extractor for a belt transfer point at a quarry. The transfer point between the screen deck hopper and the belt transfer point generated dust clouds which traveled along the belt conveyor and into the screen house and then the local environment.

Filquip specified and supplied a FPHT.D.12 Filter Bag Dust Extractor with 2.2kw Fan Motor which was mounted on the belt transfer point to extract the dust generated and agglomerate it to larger/heavier particle sizes and return it to the belt.
